Dr.-Ing. Felix Meinel was born in Leipzig in 1988 and grew up in North Rhine-Westphalia. After his engineering studies in water science and technology at the Technical University of Dresden, he received his doctorate at the Technical University of Berlin in 2016 on the subject of adsorptive removal of organic micropollutants with activated carbon. Stays abroad and contributions to international conferences took him to Mexico City and Istanbul, among other places.
The results of the practical research work performed during his doctorate resulted in numerous scientific publications in relevant journals as well as a patent. Dr. Meinel completed his intellectual property training in an up-and-coming patent law firm in Berlin as well as at the German Patent and Trademark Office and the Federal Patent Court in Munich. In 2019 he was admitted to practice as a German Patent Attorney, European Trademark and Design Attorney as well as a European Patent Attorney.
Dr. Meinel is experienced in the strategic advice of start-ups with regard to technical property rights, trademarks and designs. He is creative in finding solutions for an optimal protection of innovations. In addition, he advises and represents medium-sized and large companies, particularly in patent matters. In addition to drafting patent applications and managing the examination process, his expertise also includes the enforcement and the destruction of intellectual property rights.
His technical focus lies in the fields of vehicle construction, mechanical and plant engineering, physics, process engineering and medical technology.
Felix Meinel is married and has two children. He lives with his family in Düsseldorf.
