Shijie Ye was born in Shanghai, China. Before he came to Germany he studied Human Medicine and finished pre-clinic studies at Shanghai 2nd. Medical University (now Medical Faculty of Shanghai Jiao-Tong University).
After arriving in Germany in 2002, he studied Biochemistry at Freie Universität Berlin with minor subjects Biophysics and Immunology. He finished his diploma thesis and received the degree of “Diplom-Biochemiker”. Afterwards, he worked as scientific coworker at the same university and specialized his academic training in Protein Chemistry/Protein Engineering. He finished his dissertation and obtained his doctoral degree in Bioorganic Chemistry/Synthetic Biology.
Shijie joined our office to carry out his training in Intellectual Property Law. In 2017 he did his Internship in German Patent and Trademark Office and Federal Patent Court. He also finished a course of Master of Intellectual Property Law and Management (MIPLM) at CEIPI, Strasbourg. Thus, in addition to his scientific and legal knowledges, he has economic/management aspect of Intellectual Property as well.
He is a native Chinese speaker and fluent in English and German.
